Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This policy explains how mygaming.space handles personal information when you visit our website, play our browser games or sign in to use account features. It applies to guests as well as signed-in players.

This policy applies across all games on the platform. The information processed depends on the games and features you use. If a feature requires additional data practices, we will explain them before the relevant processing and obtain consent where required by law.

1. Who is responsible for your information

Daniel Popovici, a sole proprietor, operates mygaming.space and is the data controller responsible for deciding why and how personal information is processed for the Service described here. References to we, us and our mean Daniel Popovici. This policy should be read alongside our Terms of Use.

Privacy contact: popovicidanielcs12@gmail.com.

2. Information we process

  • Google account information. If you sign in, Google provides information such as your name, email address, profile image and Google account identifier. Our authentication system may store authorization tokens and their expiry details, along with records needed to link your account and maintain your login session. We do not receive your Google password.
  • Game activity and progress. Depending on the features you use, we process scores, saved progress, achievements, play history, time spent playing, votes, virtual currency or item records, preferences and related timestamps. Information saved to an account is associated with an internal account identifier.
  • Gameplay and fair-play information. Games may process gameplay actions, timing information, results and session identifiers where needed to operate online features, validate results or prevent abuse. The information sent to our servers depends on the game and the features you use.
  • Technical and diagnostic information. Servers and hosting services receive information needed to handle requests, such as IP addresses, requested URLs, browser or device information and request times. Some of this may appear in operational logs. Error and security logs may include account and session identifiers, game events and results. We also use request counters and related records to limit abuse.
  • Information you send us. If you make a privacy request or otherwise contact the operator, we process the contact details and information you provide to handle that request.

You do not need an account to use features available to guests. Guest use can still involve technical information and, depending on the game's online features, gameplay information described above. Playing without signing in does not mean that all activity is anonymous or processed only on your device.

3. How and why we use information

We use information to sign you in, provide games, save progress, manage supported virtual items and rewards, record votes, display leaderboards and aggregate game statistics, investigate faults, prevent cheating and unauthorized access, and respond to requests or legal obligations.

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on:

  • Providing the requested service: processing necessary to operate your account and the game features you choose to use.
  • Legitimate interests: keeping the Service secure and fair, diagnosing problems and understanding aggregate use, balanced against your rights and interests.
  • Legal obligations: processing necessary to meet applicable legal requirements, including handling privacy rights requests.
  • Consent: where required for a particular activity, such as optional tracking if introduced. Consent can be withdrawn for future processing.

Games may use automated checks to validate scores, progress or rewards and detect abuse. These checks can reject unverifiable results or prevent an action that does not meet a feature's rules. You may ask for a review if you believe a result is incorrect.

4. Public leaderboards

When you participate while signed in, your profile name, profile image, ranking and high score may be visible to other visitors on public leaderboards. Your Google profile name may be your real name. Your email address is not displayed on public leaderboards.

Public pages may be indexed by search engines or copied by other visitors. Signing out does not remove an existing leaderboard entry. The site also displays aggregate figures such as total plays, play time and votes; these totals do not identify individual voters.

5. Cookies and browser storage

Cookies and local storage serve different purposes. Cookies can accompany requests to the site; local storage remains in your browser unless application code sends it elsewhere.

  • Login and security cookies. Our authentication system uses cookies to maintain your login and support the sign-in flow, including security checks and returning you to the site. Blocking these cookies may prevent account features from working.
  • Local game storage. Games may use browser storage to remember settings, preferences or locally saved progress. The contents and lifespan depend on the features you use; some data may remain until you or your browser clears it. Local and account-based saves may be managed separately, so signing in does not necessarily transfer locally saved progress.

The current application does not embed third-party analytics or advertising trackers. If we introduce optional tracking, we will explain it and obtain consent before using it where required by law. Google may use its own cookies when you visit its sign-in service.

You can manage cookies and clear site storage through your browser. Clearing storage may sign you out and erase locally saved guest progress, but does not itself delete records held on our servers.

6. Sharing and third-party services

Information is made available as necessary to operate the Service:

  • Hosting and database providers process information to deliver the website, run its servers, store account and game records, and support reliability and security.
  • Google processes information when you use Google sign-in. Google also hosts profile images used by the Service and acts under its own privacy policy for its services.
  • Other visitors can see the public profile and game information described in the leaderboard section.
  • Legal and safety recipients may receive information when disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law, including to respond to lawful requests or protect people and the Service from abuse.

We do not sell personal information to data brokers or use it for cross-site targeted advertising. Sharing needed for sign-in, hosting or public leaderboards is distinct from those activities.

For information about Google's handling of data, see the Google Privacy Policy. External websites and services are responsible for their own privacy practices; this policy does not govern them.

7. How long information is kept

Retention depends on the type of information and why it is needed, rather than a single period for everything:

  • Account and saved game records are kept to provide your ongoing account, progress and leaderboard features. There is currently no automatic inactivity-based account deletion.
  • Login sessions have expiry times and can be invalidated by signing out. Expiry does not mean that all other account information has been deleted.
  • Temporary gameplay and session information is kept for the period needed to operate the relevant feature, validate results or resolve problems. Expiry and removal depend on the feature; expired information may await cleanup.
  • Security and abuse-prevention records are retained as needed to enforce usage limits, investigate incidents and protect the Service, and are then removed through cleanup processes.
  • Diagnostic logs and backup copies may be retained separately from active game records. Their retention depends on operational needs and the hosting or database service's retention settings.

You may request deletion as described below. Information may need to be retained where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Deleting an account does not necessarily remove non-identifying aggregate statistics or copies independently held by search engines or other visitors.

8. Security and international processing

We use measures designed to protect the Service, including authenticated access to account features, server-side validation and request limits. No online service or method of storage can guarantee absolute security. Protect your Google account and do not share login credentials or session tokens.

Depending on where you and our hosting, database and authentication providers are located, information may be processed outside your country. International transfers are subject to applicable data-protection requirements, including appropriate transfer safeguards where required. You may request information about the safeguards relevant to your data.

9. Your choices and privacy rights

You can play supported games as a guest, choose not to sign in, sign out, or clear browser storage. You can also revoke the Service's access through your Google Account settings. Revoking Google access does not itself delete information already stored by mygaming.space, and signing out is not an account-deletion request.

Depending on your location and the circumstances, you may have rights to:

  • Ask whether we process your personal information and obtain access or a copy.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion or restriction of processing.
  • Receive eligible information in a portable format.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
  • Complain to the data-protection authority or other privacy regulator responsible for your location.

Requests should be addressed to the operator of mygaming.space. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity before disclosing or changing account data. Rights can be subject to legal exceptions; we will explain any applicable limitation and respond within the period required by law.

10. Children and younger players

Age and parental-authorization requirements depend on your location and the sign-in service you use. A child must not provide personal information where parental authorization is legally required but has not been obtained. We do not use this policy as a substitute for any legally required parental consent.

A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information without the required authorization may ask the operator to review and delete it. If we learn that information was collected in breach of applicable protections for children, we will take appropriate steps to remove it or otherwise comply with the law.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when features, data practices or legal requirements change. The revised version will appear on this page with an updated date. We will provide additional notice of material changes and obtain consent where required by law. Continuing to browse the site does not, by itself, provide consent to processing that requires a separate choice.

12. Privacy questions

Privacy questions, concerns and requests to exercise your rights should be sent to Daniel Popovici at popovicidanielcs12@gmail.com. Include only the information necessary to explain your request. Do not send passwords, authorization tokens or other account credentials.
